Hi Doug, I see we're distant cousins and your DNA might lead to Duncan I Mac Crinan King of Scots 15 August 1001–14 August 1040, which means it would most likely be my line as well. I wanted to hear your opinion before I go off and tell my family, who already look at me sideways when I discover a new important ancestor like the eight Mayflower ancestors I found. Cheers!

Here's our connection, mine has been confirmed by my Mayflower connection to Edward Fuller.

Hi Doug,

I am the 11x great granddaughter of John (the Immigrant) Washburn. Thanks to Wikitree, I'm finding out what an interesting family we come from!

Hi, Lee Ann

I 'm also a direct descendent from John Washburn 1597-1670. At least I think I am. I recently took a Y700 DNA test from Family Tree DNA.

Hello Doug,

I am the 5x great grandson of Mary Washburn (1777-1816) of Westchester County New York. She married Isaac Kipp(1774-1860) of Westchester and later (after Mary's death) he was in Michigan and died there. Mary is the daughter of Joseph Washburn (1752-1831) and Freelove Matthews (1757-1835). The first of my Washburn ancestors to come to America was John Washburn (1627 England-1658 Long Island New York) who was married to Mary Butler (1637-1689) in Connecticut in 1655. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. I just thought I would reach out and connect since it seems we are both interested in Genealogy. I suppose perhaps that we are distant cousins?

Hi, Donald

You may have already received this. Our connection goes back to England. Our common descentent is James Franklin Washburn 1566-1624. Mine was his son John Washburn 1597-1670 and his brother William George Washburn 1601- 1658 is yours. Long time ago. Nice to hear from you.
