First name, Robert, is the name of my great-grandfather on my father's mother's side and my also my father's first name. The middle name was my father's middle name and my grandfather's middle name on my father's side. Schools attended are elementary, Oneida School and Van Antwerp School in Schenectady, NY. Jr. High was South Junior High in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. High School was Stony Brook School in Stony Brook, New York. I attended Union College in Schenectady, New York and finished my degree in Computer Science at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. I worked at General Electric for eighteen years, beginning as a toolmaker apprentice. After completing college in 1986 I worked for Precision Castparts Corporation in Minerva Ohio and for Tecnomatix Technologies, Inc. as a consultant in aerospace.
