Biography

European Aristocracy
Sir Henry Wallop was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Born on the 18th of October 1568, Henry Wallop was the eldest son of Sir Henry Wallop, vice Treasurer of Ireland, and his wife, Catherine Gifford. [1][2] He was educated at St John's College, Oxford, graduating in 1588. [3]

Henry married about 1596 Elizabeth Corbet, daughter of Robert Corbet of Moreton in Shropshire. [1][2] They were parents of a son, Robert, [2] [3] and five daughters. [1][4]

He was knighted by the Earl of Essex at Dublin on the 6th of August 1599. [5]

Henry died intestate on the 15th of November 1642 and was buried at Farleigh Wallop. [1]
