Biography

William was born in 1866. He was the son of William Wallace and Cordelia Butler. His mother died in childbirth so he was raised by his father and step-mother. He served in the US Army in the Spanish-American War and in WWI, attaining the rank of Colonel.

He married Bessie Keller in 1895 in Kansas. [1] They had children, twins Cordelia and Henry Keller Wallace. They appear to have been living in married soldiers' barracks in Vancouver, WA, at the time of the 1900 US Census. [2]

Capt. William Wallace was stationed at Camp Eldridge in the Philippines in 1910. His family lived with him there.[3] By 1920, the family was living in Kansas. [4]

He passed away in 1945. [5] William Wallace was mentioned on a memorial in Grandview Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio, United States with a death date of 12 September 1945.[6]
