Biography

Maud (Waldram) Goslinge was born in England.

Maud Waldram was born before 1532 based on being at least 21 at marriage.^[1]

She married John Goslinge 3 December 1553 in Hurstbourne Tarrant, Hampshire, England.^[1]

Maud and John had children Ales (Alice) in 1555,^[2] Richard in 1569,^[3] John(1) in 1571,^[4] and John(2) in 1575.^[5] John(1) apparently died young but no burial record has been found.

No burial record has been found for Maud; however, an "Agnes wife of John" was buried in Hurstbourne Tarrant 28 Feb 1605,^[6] so John may have remarried after Maud died, which would have been between 1575 and 1605.

Research Notes

The parish register begins about this time, so few records exist. The only Waldram couple found in Hurstbourne Tarrant records are John Walldram and Maud Wale who married 23 Jan 1547 in Hurstbourne Tarrant. They had children that we know of: Christian in 1548 and Elizabeth in 1551. John was buried 31 Jul 1553 in Hurstbourne Tarrant. This Maud Waldram married John Goslinge four months later.

It seems likely that John Walldram was Maud's first husband, that Christian and Elizabeth were her children, and that Wale was her Last Name At Birth.
