William "Willie" Henry Walden was born February 15, 1889 to Bale Walden and Mary Edmondson in Stockbridge, Georgia.^[1]

He served the United States Army during World War I. He enlisted on September 4, 1918 and was discharged on December 29, 19.^[2]

He married Pearl Geneva Bell about 1919 in Georgia. Their children were:

1. William "Bill" Henry Walden, Jr.
2. Mary Lou Walden
3. Jessie Lee Walden
4. Andrew Jackson Walden
5. Roy Bell Walden
6. Troy Martin Walden
7. Eugene Lanier "Gene" Walden
8. James E. Walden

He died, at the age of 57, on August 31, 1946 in Asheville, North Carolina.^[1] He is buried at the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Covington, Newton County, Georgia.^[3][4]
