Biography

William was born in 1848, in what is now Germany. He emigrated to the US and settled in Knox County, Indiana before 1880.

He married Lena Weitzel (1852-1928), who was born in Ohio, on 24 Feb 1876.[1] FamilySearch records the following children for them:

Emma Wagner Stoelting 1877-1910[2]
Annie Wagner 1878-1972
Gertrude Wagner Dickman 1885-1943[3][4]
Clarance John Wagner 1892-1957[5][6]

William was a blacksmith in Widner, Knox, IN in 1880, with wife Lena and two daughters. In 1900 he was a blacksmith with wife Lena, Gertrude and Clarance. Lena was the mother of 5 children, 4 living.

The 1910 census shows Will Waggoner Sr. at age 62, living on his own income, immigrated in 1865 and a naturalized citizen, married to Louise 58, born in Ohio, with Gertrude 23 and Clarence 17.

William and E Lena Wagner were 71 and 66 in 1920. William had his own income as a junk dealer.

William was widowed in 1930, living with daughter Gertrude Dickman and her family.

He died after 1930. His burial place still needs to be found.
