Biography

Paul Newton Waddell was born June 6, 1890 in Missouri to George Newton Waddell and Mae Hamilton [1]

In 1900, 9-year-old Paul was one of 8 children in the home of George and May Waddell. The family was farming in Loony Township in Polk County, Missouri. [2]

On June 9, 1911, Myrtle Stephens married Paul Waddell in Belleville, Illinois. [3]

In June 1917, Paul was 26 years old and married. He was living on Sergent Street in Joplin, Missouri. Paul was born June 6, 1890, in Brighton, Missouri. He was described as short and of medium build with brown hair and eyes. [4]

After Myrtle's death in late 1918, Paul and his 2-year-old son, John, would live with Paul's brother Roland and his family in Dayton, Ohio. Paul was working as the foreman of a construction crew. [5]

On March 19, 1921, Mrs Pansy Patrick married Paul N Waddell in Wichita, Texas. [6]

In 1930 Paul and Pansy were living on North Cheyenne Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Paul was employed as a brick layer. They had 3 children in the home: John, from Paul's first marriage; Betty from Pansy's first marriage; and Paul Jr born to the couple in 1924. [7]

The family moved to Texas and in 1935 were living in Longview. In 1940 Paul and Pansy were living on Holland Street in Dallas. Their children Betty and Paul Jr remained at home as well as daughter-in-law Viera Waddell. The family also had 7 lodgers in residence. [8]

In 1970 Paul was living on Judson Road in Longview, Texas. He was married and had worked as a building contractor. He died at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview on February 9, 1970. The informant was his wife, Mrs Pansy Waddell. [1]
