Biography
Gunnila was born in 1923 in Tistad castle outside Nyköping[1][2]. Father was "Greve" Nils Claes Ludvig Wachtmeister and mother Märta Ebba Karolina de Geer [3].
19 years old she was married to director Carl-Herman Bussler. They had three children. Carl-Herman passed away 1981, 63 years old.
As a widow she started to work at a company "Engelskt silver"in Stockholm and met Carl Johan Bernadotte.
Carl Johan Bernadotte was uncle to King Carl Gustaf. He was prince of Sweden until 1946 when he married the journalist Kerstin Wijkmark. At that time it was impossible that a person from the royal family should marry "an ordinary women".
King Gustaf V then withdrew Carl Johan's succession to the throne and his title as Prince and Duke of Dalarna.
After the death of his wife Kerstin in 1987, Carl Johan met Gunnila.
Carl Johan Bernadotte and Gunilla married in 1988 in Copenhagen, a wedding that was arranged by queen Ingrid of Denmark.
Gunilla passed away 2016 and had a ceremony in Slottskyrkan in Stockholm. She will be buried on Kungliga Begravningsplatsen[4]
