Hello Lauren,

I'm contacting you for the annual ANZACS Project membership checkin. We really appreciate your involvement in the Project in the last year. Thank you so much for all your help to improve profiles of ANZACs on WikiTree.

Please could you reply to this profile comment, or send me a private message to let me know if you'd like to stay on in the Project, and if so, what ANZACs activity you're planning to work on over the coming year. There are some ideas for activities on this page - Project:Anzacs. You could also add or update your entry on the 'Project Members and what we are doing' heading on that page.

If you've moved on to other things for the moment, that's absolutely fine. We'd appreciate if you'd let us know so that we can remove you as a member of the Project.

The ANZACs Project is a sub-project of the Military and War Project, which has a channel on Discord. If you're not on Discord yet, here's some information - Help:Discord. It's a great way to communicate with other members of the Project and help each other out.

We're always happy to receive any ideas or suggestions that you have to make our project even better.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Gillian ~ ANZACS Project Leader

Hello Lauren, I'm just checking if you received my request to join the trusted list for Esther (Freeman) Lewis (abt.1836-abt.1914). Please let me know if you didn't receive it and I can resend it to you.

Thanks so much! Gillian

Hi Again Lauren,

I sent you a check-in message ten days ago about the ANZACS Project July check in (subproject of Military and War Project). Although the message asked you about your continued involvement, I have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If I do not hear from you by the same time next week, I will assume that you've moved on to other things. You are most welcome to re-join the project at any time by answering the g2g posting.

Best wishes,

Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project

Hi

On behalf of the leader of the Military and War Project, I am doing the six month check-in with Anzac members.. Have you been active in the Anzacs project in the last six months? Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the Military and War Project that you respond to these check-ins. To make bookkeeping easier, just click Reply to this message on your own page, add your reply, then Post the Reply. I look forward to hearing from you..

Many thanks,

Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project

I have just received the following message from Jane Shennan, Anglesea & District War Memorial Committee:

'Hi Daryl The Anglesea & Dist War Memorial Committee is seeking information about people whose names will appear on our new memorial wall. We found Henry Albert Anderson's name on the Anglesea Recreation and Sports Club Honour Roll but have few details other than he served in WW1, was killed in action on 1 Sept 1918, was born at Warracknabeal in 1894, and that he was awarded either an MM or MC. Anglesea is listed as his 'place of association' but I don't know why. We will be holding an exhibition to celebrate the opening later this year, probably in November. I am also seeking permission to use the photos which appear on this site. I look forward to hearing from you, Regards, Jane'.

I see that you uploaded photos to Henry Albert's WikiTree profile (Anderson-13894) . As Profile Manager, I have no objection to giving Jane permission to use the photos in his profile. However, I thought I should first check that you agree.

Regards

Hello Lauren, I am a cemeterist for Wikitree, and am currently looking at the Herald Sun Tributes and your profile for Jack Jolly was amended to match my usual additions to a cemetery, I've added categories & sources and also amended the profile - I hope you are ok with the changes I've completed, if not let me know and I'll restore the profile .. Hello Lauren

One of the photos you recently uploaded is a nominee to be our Family History Photo of the Week. We'll feature the winner on the main WikiTree home page all next week and share it on our social networks. I assume you wouldn't mind having the photo featured like this, if it were to win. If for some reason you wouldn't want this, let me know right away. We could remove it from the list of nominees if you let me know before Friday. Also, it isn't necessary, but if you have any more information about the photo or the person, I am sure members of the group would love to hear any stories or information that adds background color. You can add the additional information in the comment box here underneath the photo. Thank you! Terry

Hi Lauren

The SILVEY's are on my wife's side of the family. I set this up a little while ago, and have been concentrating on my Ancestry tree, as I'd seen very little in the way of matches. Cheers Glenn

Hi, my name is Lauren and I would like to help and share genealogy resources with everybody. I come from a family of people who say "don't look into the genealogy because you might find something." However I do like finding something. Giving voice - and at times vindication - to those who lived a long time ago, even if life hadn't been ideal for them is a passion of mine. I feel you cannot truly know yourself until you know even a little about those who have gone before. I especially love to make photos available digitally as readily as possible so they can be preserved and disseminated to descendants for generations to come.
