Jim, have you or any other (patrilineal) male Vincent in your family taken a y-DNA test? If so, could you tell me how to locate the results within FamilyTreeDNA or the Vincent y-DNA Project at FamilyTreeDNA? My 3rd-great grandfather was a different Reuben Vincent (c1789 - 1874), who also came from the Carolinas. - Bill
The only dna test I have taken is the autosumnal test through ancestry.com.
It looks like Reuben Vincent in my tree is different from yours
If I can be of anymore help, please let me know.

Jim, something very strange is happening amongst your family's profiles -- possibly unrelated to GEDCOMpare. The profile for Nancy Snodgrass shows that she's the mother of Narcisa Marler, but when I click on Marler-409 I'm taken to Marler-408, which shows that Narcisa's mother is Sarah Snodgrass. Did you do anything in editing these profiles that might have caused this confusion?
ADDED: I see that you merged Marler-409 into Marler-408, but apparently the two profiles had different mothers, and the system didn't insist that you reconcile the discrepancy before doing the merge. Which mother is correct?
Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.
I noticed that several of the profiles need GEDCOM cleanup (YouTube video). I recommend adding links to the profiles of family members, rather than removing as recommended in the video.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
