Biography
Thomas Vickers, came with two brothers to Chester, Pennsylvania from England, with William Penn in 1682. He died in 1695. He had a son Abraham who was born in 1691 amd died 1756.
Abraham and Mary France had a son, Thomas, born about 1720. He was a horse-back riding, traveling minister with the Friends Ministry.
He married Rebecca Dillon of Bedminster, 3 November 1746. Their children were-
- Esther, 9th day of 6th month m. William Michener
- John, 3rd of 8th month 1749
- Mary, 9th of 3rd month 1752 m. David Mendenhall
- Rebecca, 1st of 2nd. month 1754 m. Joshua Roman
- Thomas, 8th of 3rd month 1757 m Jemima Mendenhall
- Rachel, 6th of 8th month 1759
- Abraham, 17th of 1st month 1762 m. Mary Eastwick
- Mercy, 19th of 8th month 1764
In 1775, he and several of his children (and wife?) moved to East Calle, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
He died 30 December 1793 while ministering away from home.
