Biography

Retired army LTC and assistant professor of Electrical Engineering, fascinated with DNA triangulation as an aid to genealogy. Only allowed to talk about DNA once a day (my wife's rule)! Looking to solve mysteries; from where did Zepharus Dewey appear in Whitehall New York? How did my wife inherit a trace of native american DNA? Why do my wife and mother share 20cm of DNA on chromosome 7??? Who adopted the infant twin uncles of my mother when her grandmother passed?

Welcome to the County Kerry Sub-Project!

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:County_Kerry

As you may have heard, WikiTree is having a source-a-thon Oct 4 - Oct 7. Whether or not you decide to participate in it is up to you. If you want to help the county Kerry project, it would be great if you could put the unsourced Kerry category on any Kerry profiles you come across that need sources. Thank you!

Hi Ken,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hi Ken,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! With the certification comes a strong recommendation to choose a project which best fits the pre-1700 profiles you'll be working on. Since you've joined recently, you may still be working through the How-Tos. The third includes information about joining the community, including projects.

In the meantime, be thinking about the particular time periods, locations, and topics which interest you. Do you have historically-significant ancestors? Take a look at the list of active projects for ideas:

Have questions? Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
