Biography
Frederick Vendy was born in 1836 in Thorpe Langton, Leicestershire, England, the son of Maria Vendy and Matthew Vendy.[1][2]
He was christened on 7 August 1836 at Church Langon, Leicestershire.[1]
He emigrated to Australia on the "Red Jacket" in 1858 .[3]
He married Louisa Swanson in 1862 in Victoria, Australia.[4] Their children were:[5]

- Alice Maria Vendy (1864–?)
- William Henry Vendy (1866–?)
- Victoria Mary Ann Vendy (1868–?)
- Albert Edward Vendy (1870–1948)

- Alfred Norman Morgan Vendy (1880–1957)
Frederick died in 1901 in Stawell, Victoria, aged 66 years.[6]
