Biography

Frances (Venables) Wren was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Frances Venables was born in Sydney, New South Wales on 20 September 1843. She was the daughter of Richard Venables & Mary Bould.^[1]

Isaac Wren married Frances Venables in Molong district during 1860.^[2] They had the following children:

1. Mary J Wren, born 1861 near Molong^[3]
2. Caroline Wren, born 1862 near Molong^[4]
3. Alice Wren, born 1864 near Molong^[5]
4. Ann Wren, born 1866 near Molong^[6]
5. George Wren, born 1869 near Molong^[7]

Her husband Isaac died in Cranbury on 4 July 1914.^[13]

Frances was incorrectly reported as celebrating her 90th birthday in 1930, it was her 87th.^[14]

Frances died in Cranbury on 27 February 1931, aged 87.^{[15][16][17][18]}

The surviving members of the family were : Mrs. T. Mulligan (Cranbury), Mrs. W. Murray (The Meadows), Mrs. George Winsley (Cranbury), George (Cranbury), Christopher (Burdett), Edward (Cranbury), Clement (Sydney), and Mrs. Bell (Nyrang Creek).^[19]
