Biography
Hanson Veatch, son of Thomas and Barasheba (Thompson) Veatch married Elizabeth Bean, daughter of George Bean and Ann (Jones) Bean.

His father, Thomas Veatch Senr. of Montgomery, Maryland wrote a will on 3 Aug 1819. It stated: "I give and bequeath to my son Hanson Veatch my Negroe woman Judy….I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Veatch my Negro man Harry...." The will was proved on 31 Aug 1819.[1] An inventory on 13 Sep 1819 reported:
- one Negro man named Harry $600
- one Negro woman named Judah $350[2]
Hanson Veatch died in Hardy, Virginia before 19 Jan 1836, when an executor's bond was produced for his estate.[3] The final settlement of the estate occurred in December 1847.[4]
