Biography

John Vasey is an Anzac who served in World War One.

John Brinsden McCutcheon Vasey was born in 1893 at Malvern East, Victoria, Australia. He was the second child and son of George Vasey and Alice McCutcheon.[1]

He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 21st August 1914 for service overseas during The Great War.[2] He was a junior non-commissioned officer in the 2nd Field Company, Australian Engineers, serving at Gallipoli.[3]

John Vasey died of wounds received at Gallipoli during The Great War.

John Vasey died of wounds on 14th August 1915. He is buried in Pieta Military Cemetery, Tal-Pieta, Malta and his name is located at panel 25 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.[4]
