Biography

Anna was the daughter of Johannes Gerretson Van Vechten and Maria Bogardus. 1700, Jan. 5, Annaatje, of Johannes Van Vegten and Maria Bogardus. Wit.: Pieter Bogardus, Margrietje Van Vegten. Albany RDC. [1]

She first married Johannes Schoonmaker in 1722.

Children:

  1. Egbert. baptized 12 May 1728. Johannes Schoonmaker, Annaatjen Van Vegten. Egbert. Wit.: Egbert Schoonmaker, Anneken Berry, Kingston RDC. [2]

She was the second wife of Willem Teller. They wed on 6 September 1735 and the marriage was registered in the records of the First Dutch Reformed Church in Albany, Albany, New York. The marriage record calls her "Anna Schoonmaker."[3]

She had 3 children with Wilhem Teller and her eldest son from first marriage was Johannes, b. 24 Nov 1732

  2. Willem,bp. 14 Jun 1740;
  3. Gerrit Teunise, bp. 30 Jun 1745

They lived on the Teller bouwery No. 5, next west of Teller's killetie; made his will April 9, 1752, proved Nov. 6, 1764, [4]
