Biography

Marie Madeleine was born in 1789.

On 9 Jan 1809, in Ste-Rose-de-Lima-de-Laval, François Desjardins minor son of François Desjardins and deceased Céleste Garguépy(sic) married Magdeleine Vaillancourt minor daughter of Jean Vaillancourt(sic) and Thérèse Dubois. Witnesses were groom's uncle Joseph Desjardins and bride's brother François Vaillancourt, no signatures. ^[1]

• Dispensation was obtained for a third degree of consanguinity. They were second cousins. Their common ancestors were: Antoine Vermet and his wife Geneviève Plouffe.

On 15 Feb 1847, in Ste-Scholastique, Mirabel, Antoine Carrière adult widower of Eugénie Lefève married Madeleine Vaillancourt adult widow of François Desjardins. Many of their children were witness, including bride's son, Paul Desjardins and her son in law, Hilaire Lalande, no signatures. ^[3]

She passed away in 1870.
