I wanted to mention that you may want to use your own surname in the Last Name at Birth field. This will ensure that your profile is listed on the correct surname page with other members and ancestors who also have that surname. Our naming conventions can be found at Name Fields.
If you are concerned about Privacy, click the Privacy tab on your profile or visit our Privacy help page to read about the different levels that are available.
WikiTree does allow the use of Anonymous for either your first name or given name, but recommends that you not use it for both. "Unknown" is not supposed to be used for living people; only for deceased people whose surname is unknown.
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering to add your precious family history.
Wow!!! There are 69 MUTTER profiles on Wikitree! I know all the 'cousins' here will benefit greatly from you adding your insightful collaboration, sourced research and first-hand knowledge to Wikitree.
Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.
If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.
The initial email from us has helpful links that get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to Volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
Once you choose to Volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
