SUMNER COUNTY, TENNESSEE DEED ABSTRACTS 1806-1817 Abstracted by Joyce Martin Murray: Page 326 Deed 16 Aug 1808 JOHN GILES to Mourning Winn, $575, trof 96 acres on Bledsoe's Lick Creek. Wit: WILLIAM GILES, Wm. Pinions(?), James Williams, Wm. Woodruff.(ELIZABETH GILES acknowledges is her act also).
The following is taken from Jesse Lynch Jr's Milton Giles Desc. Report: "... In 1811 Elizabeth GILES, of Sumner County, conveyed to NewtonCANNON, of Williamson County, 472 acres on the waters of the DuckRiver. (Bedford Deedbook C, p 296.) This property was from an 1807Grant # 1688 to Edward GILES. Elizabeth GILES acted for herself and theheirs of Edward GILES. "
