In 1811 Elizabeth GILES, of Sumner County, conveyed to NewtonCANNON, of Williamson County, 472 acres on the waters of the DuckRiver. (Bedford Deedbook C, p 296.) This property was from an 1807Grant # 1688 to Edward GILES. Elizabeth GILES acted for herself and theheirs of Edward GILES. "
