Katharine (Tynan) Hinkson was born in Ireland.

Katharine Tynan was born 23 Jan 1859, the fifth of 12 children, to Andrew Cullen Tynan and Eliza O'Reilly and baptized 30 Jan 1859 at Rathmines RC, Dublin city.[1]

Katharine was a writer known for her novels and poetry[2][3].

Katharine married Irish writer and lawyer Henry Albert Hinkson in 1893[4]

The family resided in west London[5][6].

The family returned to Ireland in 1912, moving to Mayo where Henry worked as a local magistrate until his death in 1919[2][3].
