Christopher was baptised at Selling in Kent on 18 October 1573 as the son of Christopher Tylman[1].
He married Ann Sanders at Northbourne in Kent on 2 October 1598[2].
Christopher's father, also named Christopher, made his Will on 4th May 1599 in which he describes himself as "Christopher Tilman of the parish of Sellinge in the county of Kent yeoman ". Probate was granted 3rd April 1602 to Christopher the named sole Executor[3].
In the Will of his father in law, Edward Sanders, which was made 24th June 1608, Christopher was named as 'Overseer'[4].
