Henry Mitchell Tweedie was born on January 13, 1836 in London, England, United Kingdom, son of George Mitchell Tweedie (1804–1844) and Janette Harriet Chabaud (1803–1887).
Henry (24) married Mary Ann Kenny (18) (born on March 20, 1842 in West Maitland, New South Wales) in 1861 in Cooma, Colony of New South Wales.[1] Their children were:
