Biography

Jane was born on 4 June 1847 in New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Thomas Tweedie and Sarah Ann Monk.^[1]

Jane arrived in 1863.^[2] Alternatively, she arrived in 1864.^[3]

When Jane was about 19 she married in 1867.^[4]

In the 1870 census Jane (age 22) was living in Houlton, Aroostook, Maine, USA. Residence Post Office: Houlton.^[1]

In 1871 Jane (age about 23) was living in Carleton, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada.^[5]

From 1880 to 1900 Jane (age 33~52) was living in Houlton, Aroostook, Maine, USA. Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head: Wife.^{[6] [3]}

In the 1910 census Jane (age 62) was living in Unity, Waldo, Maine, USA. Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head of House: Wife.^[2]

Jane died at the age of 71 on 30 June 1918 in Unity, Waldo, Maine, USA.^[7][8]
