At the age of 37 she married Captain Cecil Lefroy Turbett (son of Robert James Turbett) on 26 October 1947 in Dublin South, Ireland[3]:

The wedding took place yesterday in St. Ann’s Church, Dawson street, Dublin, of Captain Cecil Lefroy Turbett, 0.B.E., R.I.N., son of the late Mr. Robert Turbett and Mrs. Turbett, Fortlands, Killiney, Co. Dublin, and Miss Doreen Margaret Minchin, daughter of the late Major-General F. F. Minchin, C.B., Royal Artillery, of Annagh, Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary, and the late Mrs. C. J. R. Minchin, of Annagh and Garrykennedy House, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. The service was conducted by the Rev. B. Lougheed, M.A., assisted by the rev. Canon E. L. B. Barker, M.A. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. R. H. L. Minchin, was attended by a matron-of-honour, Mrs. G. M. Goodbody. Mr. Morris Ferrier was best man. After a reception held in the Royal Hibernian Hotel, Dublin, Captain and Mrs. Turbett left for England.[4]
They had one daughter; Patricia Lefroy.
Her husband passed away in 1975.
She passed away in 1981 at the age of 71. Her will was proved on 29 October 1982 at London. Effects: £28,920
