Elisha was born on 5 Jan1785 in Milton, Norfolk, Massachusetts. He was the son of Ebenezer Tucker and Elisabeth Atherton. [1]
On 24 Dec 1809 in Boston, Massachusetts, He married Betsy(Elizabeth) Channell. The Rev. Thos. Baldwin, D.D. officiated.[2][3] Together they had the following children,
Elisha was a cabinet , chair and mahogany mirrors maker. He sold items from 1809-1827 in at least 3 different storefronts over the years. [6] Some of the buildings are still standing.

Label; Center of backboard; "ELISHA TUCKER,/ CABINET AND CHAIR/ MANUFACTURER,/RESPECTFULLY informs his Friends and the Publick, that/he Manufactures and offers for Sale on reasonable terms, at No./ 40, MIDDLE-STREET . . . .BOSTON, a general assortment of / CABINET FURNITURE AND CHAIRS./Mahogany Looking-Glass Frames/ of all sizes, executed in the neatest manner and at the shortest notice./ . . ./N. B. No exertions shall be spared which will serve to render/[s]atisfaction to those who may please to favor him with their .../[obliterated]".
The desk - Reference: This desk is labeled by Elisha Tucker (1784-1827) who worked at 40 Middle Street, Boston, Massachusetts who worked between about 1800 and 1827. Other labeled Tucker pieces are at Winterthur, see Charles Montgomery The Federal Period, number 223 and number 302. Also, a much simpler desk with a nearly identical Tucker label was possibly owned by John Quincy Adams. The desk is now in a private collection.

On 11 Oct 1827 in Boston, Massachusetts Elisha passed away from consumption.[7] He was laid to rest at the Milton Cemetery in Milton, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.[8]
