Biography

Alfred was born in 1829. He was the son of Thomas Trudeau and Rosalie Provost. He passed away in 1910[1].

    Elk Point, S. D., Sep. 24 – Alfred Trudeau, aged 81 years, living five miles west of this city, died Monday evening of apoplexy. The deceased was born in Canda April 4, 1829, and came to this county in 1867 and settled on a homestead three miles north of Jefferson. In 1883 he sold his homestead and moved with his family five miles west of this city, where he made his home until his death. He leaves 10 children, his wife having died three years ago. The children are Simon, Maxim and Fred, of Elk Point township; Julius of Indiana; Mrs. Nels Berry and Mrs. Pete Berry of Kalispeal, Mont.; Mrs. Pelroy of Westfield, Ia.; Mrs. Houser of LeMars, Ia., and Mrs. Will McMilllin of Aberdeen, S. D., and Mrs. Horace Butler, of Lead, S. D.
