Biography

Margaret Troutbeck was the daughter of Adam Troutbeck and his second wife Joan Molyneux. ^[1]

In 1510 Margaret Troutbeck, now the first wife of Sir John Talbot, was heiress to her uncle Sir William Troutbeck, by which she inherited the manors of Brunstath, Elton, Hoole, Oxton, Raby, etc., in Cheshire; a one-half interest in the manor of Newport, Shropshire; and one-third interest in the manor of Edgmond, Shropshire. ^[2]

Margaret Talbot was buried at the church of St John the Baptist in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England.^[3][4]

John Talbot, Knt., son by his father's 2nd marriage. He married (1st) before 1510 MARGARET TROUTBECK, daughter and heiress of Adam Troutbeck, Esq., of Thornton-le-Moors, Cheshire, by his 2nd wife, Joan Molyneux, probable daughter of Robert Molynux. She was born about 1494. They had one son, John, Knt., and four daughters, Mary, Anne, Constance (wife of George Blount, Knt.), and Dorothy (wife of ____ Scrymshaw). His wife, Margaret, was living 11 July 1521.

i. John Talbot, Knt., married Frances Giffard. They had one son, John, Esq., and one daughter, Jane. Sir John Talbot died shortly before 24 June 1555. His wife, Frances, was living 25 May 1558.
