Biography

Madge was born about 1909 in Maryborough, Victoria, Australia. Her parents were James Triunson and Ellen Murphy.

She married Laurence Otto Laver in Heidelberg, Victoria on 12 Sep 1928. Madge began her career as a teacher and later worked as a bookkeeper.

The couple had two children: William Graeme Laver who was to become a world-renowned virologist and expert on the influenza virus, and Agnes Corelle Laver.

Madge passed away on 3 August 1988 in Grafton, New South Wales (to be verified - from an Ancestry tree - source not located).
