Scott, You are now a member of the WikiTree Mayflower project. The tag associated with the project is MAYFLOWER. Please use this tag when coordinating your changes in WikiTree's g2g. There is plenty of controversy about who the wife of Mayflower Passenger William Brewster was.

Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Scot, I apologize! I mis-read the 'changes' feed! I'm so sorry! You're right, you didn't remove any existing parents. I would still ask that you explain your sources for the parents you're adding. I know that you can see that many of these existing profiles don't have sources to support their information. We're working really hard to improve WikiTree going forward to make sure that all profiles are sourced.

Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates. http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/103236/how-do-you-find-sources- offers links to free sources (and a few for subscription). If you can't find a source, try asking about it at the G2G Forum. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources_Style_Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography. Thanks for helping make WikiTree even better! Kay

Hi Scot. Welcome to WikiTree! I see that you've removed parents from several profiles and entered different parents. When you do that, would you please enter information in the biography for the profile, explaining what change you made, and giving the source for changed information. Especially when you're working on some of these older profiles, there are a number of WikiTreers who share those ancestors and would like to understand why you felt the changes were necessary. Thanks so much! Kay Wilson
