Research Notes

Import from gedcom file had birthplace as Greenbush, Preble, New York. This needs to be researched further - Preble is a town in Cortland County; Greenbush could refer to one of three places: 1) Greenbush, Rensselaer County which was divided into East Greenbush & North Greenbush in 1855; 2) Greenbush, Rockland County is a former name for the Hamlet of Blauvelt; or 3) Greenbush, Schoharie County, a small settlement in Cobleskill.[3]

This profile MAY be a combination of two separate men named Edmund Traver. There are two profiles on Family Search: K83Z-LYT purported son of Georg & Elizabeth Plantz Traver, husband of Mary Eva DuBois, and father to Edith & Lilian Traver and M5MS-3PB purported son of Henry and Sally Nehr Traver and father of Herbert Traver. Boy-41 22:15, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

  • K83Z-LYT has the cited marriage and death records attached (Death record does indicate he was born in New York)
  • M5MS-3PB has the cited birth record attached along with an 1880 Census[4] record from Clinton, Dutchess County, New York.

There is also a 1900 Census record from Clinton that may be the M5MS-3PB Edmund[5]

Find A Grave: Memorial #143818807 with a purported spouse of Ann Maria Traver (1829-1911) also seems to be M5MS-3PB Edmund.
