John C. Trapp enlisted as a Private in (2d) Company G, 1st Confederate Regiment, Georgia Volunteers on May 11 or 13, 1862, in Rome, Georgia. He was captured at Missionary Ridge on Nov 26, 1863, and subsequently transported to Camp Chase, where he died of small Pox, Sep 13, 1864. He passed away in 1864.[1]
