Trahan-1820 and Trahan-100 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse and son Guillaume, also duplicates. Same location of birth. Dates are close. No sources in Trahan-1820.

Work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Trahan-1186 and Trahan-100 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same spouse (needs merge), same son (needs merge). No dates or locations our sources on Trahan-1186 to conflict.

I removed the death (date and place) that were recently added, without supporting source, to this profile. The biography states that "His date and precise place of death are not known."
Thank you Isabelle. Just to be safe I looked in the parish registers of the stated location for the given date and found no such date of death or burial. I looked through most of the 91 pages of the register covering 1606-1633 and found only one or two records for a Nicolas at all.
