Biography

Lena was born before 1922. She was a musical performer, and often referred to as a "movie starlet' among her realm. In 1942, she married James B. Brown, a tuskegee airman. In 1943, she traveled to Tuskegee to visit with her husband who was enrolled as a Cadet at the time. ^[1] There isn't much information regarding their marriage. It is noted that a wedding reception was hosted by her parents in Dec of 1942^[2], that she visited him in 1943, and is recognizes as James' widow in the formal announcement of his death. She was present at the funeral in 1949 when his body was returned home for burial.

Lena went on to continue her movie career, and was even noted as dating Marlon Brando at one time. She performed in various productions. Lena passed away in 1994.
