Biography
Hilda was born in 1921 in Fort William, Ontario[1]. She was the daughter of Isaac Törmä and Emma Mäntyniemi[2]. She passed away in 2009 and is buried in the Covington Township Cemetery[2].

Hilda Torma age 88 of Watton, MI passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit. She was born in Fort William, Ontario, Canada on June 11, 1921 daughter to the late Isack and Emma (Mantyniemi) Torma. Hilda moved to the United States at age 2 and was raised on the family farm in Watton, where she resided all her life. Surviving are her sisters, Bertha Torma of Watton and Helen Johnson of Covington; five nieces, Barbara Nurmi of Watton, Lorraine (Duane) Anderson of Covington, Mary (Jeff) Gibson of Birnamwood, WI, Susan (Doug) Scott of Cornell, MI, Sharon (Wayne) Manz of Milwaukee, WI; several great and great great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents and a brother Paul Isack Torma
