Hilda was born in 1921 in Fort William, Ontario^[1]. She was the daughter of Isaac Törmä and Emma Mäntyniemi^[2]. She passed away in 2009 and is buried in the Covington Township Cemetery^[2].

She was born in Fort William, Ontario, Canada on June 11, 1921 daughter to the late Isack and Emma (Mantyniemi) Torma. Hilda moved to the United States at age 2 and was raised on the family farm in Watton, where she resided all her life. Surviving are her sisters, Bertha Torma of Watton and Helen Johnson of Covington; five nieces, Barbara Nurmi of Watton, Lorraine (Duane) Anderson of Covington, Mary (Jeff) Gibson of Birnamwood, WI, Susan (Doug) Scott of Cornell, MI, Sharon (Wayne) Manz of Milwaukee, WI; several great and great great nieces and nephews.
