She emigrated to South Australia on the South Sea arriving at Port Adelaide on 30 Jul 1855. Her brother Benjamin paid partly for her passage. ^[2]

On the 27th inst., at the residence of Mr John Batten, Kapunda, by the Rev Wm Brown, assisted by the Rev R.C. Flockart, Mr William Branson of Greenock Creek, to Jerusha daughter of the late Mr William Tonkin, of St Agnes, Cornwall. ^[4]

She passed away age 85 on 17 Dec 1899 in Moonta ^[5] and was buried in the Moonta Cemetery with her niece Jerusha Tonkin. ^[6]

DEATH
BRANSON On the 17th December at her residence, George street Moonta, Jerusha, widow of the late William Branson, of Broad Oak Greenock, aged 85 years and 11 months. Safe in the arms of Jesus. ^[7]
