Biography

Gerrit was born 18 January 1788 and baptized on the 20th of that month, son of Dirk Ton and Dirkje van Doesburg. ^[1]

Gerrit was married on 30th September, 1810 to Maaike Wolf. ^[2]

2. Jenneke (b. 11 Oct 1813)
3. Hermen (b. 6 Dec 1815; m. 1844, Johanna Cornelia Meijer)

Gerrit died in 1822 at Varik, just across the river from his birthplace. While his widow is not mentioned in this record, his death is mentioned in her subsequent marriage to Huibert Weijgertse in 1830. ^[3]
