Mary was born c1772, the daughter of Samuel Toft and Martha Grimsditch.
27 Aug 1791 William Twist Labourer of this Parish (Warrington) and Town of Manchester married Mary Toft - (X), Spinster, Manchester at Collegiate, Manchester, Lancashire, England (Cathedral) Witness: William Ellison; Dennis Browe Banns Read: 9 Oct 1791, 2nd: 16 Oct 1791, 3rd: 23 Oct 1791Married by Banns by: John Griffith[1]
In 1851 she was 79, a farmer of 12 acres born Ashley, Cheshire and living with Grandson Richard Twiss (29 Agricultural Labourer b Rostherne, Cheshire)[2]
