Biography

Sarah was born about 1763^[1] and baptised as an adult on the 9th April 1784 at St. Mary Magdalene, Bolney, Sussex, England, the daughter of "widow" Tidy.^[2]

On the 29th September 1789, Sarah Tidy, spinster and John Sanders, widower, both of Henfield, married by banns at St. Peter, Henfield, Sussex, England. Witnessed by Richard Tidy and William Vinnall (parish clerk).^[3]

She passed away aged 69 years in 1832 and was buried on the 8th February 1832 at St. Peter, Henfield, Sussex, England.^[1]

The witness at Sarah's marriage in 1789, Richard Tidy was probably a brother.

A Richard Tidy baptised 1751 at Bolney, son of William & Elizabeth Tidy, married Hannah Boniface in 1777 at Shermanbury, Sussex, England. He was recorded as a widower. Witnessed by Richard Boniface and William Attree (parish clerk).
