Biography

Patrick Thomson lived in Feilding, Manawatū-Whanganui, New Zealand.

Patrick, son of David Thomson & Helen Gentles, was born or baptised on 5 May 1841 in Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, Scotland.^[1]

In the 1851 census, Patrick (age 9), Scholar, was the son of David Thomson on Main Street, Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire.^[2]

On 18 November 1880 he married Mrs Margaret Towers Newman, a widow with a son Mr. Richard Newman, superintendent of Feilding Fire Brigade and daughter Mrs. Todd of Opunake. There was also an adopted daughter Mrs. Rutherford. ^{[3] [4]}

He passed away 10 March 1914 at Feilding, age 72. He was a member of the Feilding Borough Council and Fire Brigade. His sister Mrs. Peach lived at Feilding too. ^{[3] [5]}
