Obituary
Elsie M. Voves, 81, Hibbing, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the University Of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born in Hibbing on Nov. 6, 1926, to Thomas and Anna Thompson.
She graduated from Hibbing High School and was united in marriage to Robert Voves on Feb. 16, 1946. Elsie was a homemaker and member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, VFW Post 8510 Ladies Auxiliary, and Swan Lake Country Club. She and Bob had been members of various area square dancing clubs and she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.
Elsie is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Mike) Marincel; son, Harry (Lorraine) Voves; grandchildren: Rhonda (Ken) Rein, Raquel (Eric) Lund, and Andrea and Janell Voves; two great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild due in October; brother, Tom (Florence) Thomson; nieces: Elsie (Bob) Anderson, Lynn Marie Thomson and Margaret Ann Ryan; nephews: Roger (Linda) Pagliarini and Steven Thomson; and two great-nephews.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on Oct. 16, 2007; by her parents; and by a sister, Linnea Nelimark.
