Biography
Solomon Thompson is a part of US Black heritage.
Solomon was born before 1835, based on his enslaver's inventory probated in 1855. Since he was married with 2 children, his year of birth was listed as "before 1835." His last name at birth is as yet unknown, thus his enslaver's surname of Thompson is being used temporarily.
Solomon, his wife and 2 children, were slaves of Noah L Thompson (abt.1811-abt.1854) in Leon County, Florida. They were listed on his probate inventory on 3 Feb 1855 as being valued at $2300.[1]
When William Davis died, his probated inventory included the slaves who previously belonged to Noah Thompson. They were listed on April 6, 1855 in Davis' probate record.[2]
