Biography

Patricia Lee 'Pat' or 'Patty' Thompson was born on 17 September 1928 at Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, United States. Her parents were Earl R Thompson and Myrtle Siddons.

In the 1930 census Pattie (age 2) and sister Betty J (age 4) were in the home of their parents, Earl Thompson (age 23) and Myrtle Thompson (age 24) at Middletown, Butler, Ohio, United States.^[1]

In the 1940 census Patricia (age 11) and siblings Betty Jean (age 14) and Jack Allen (age 3) were with their father, Earl Thompson (age 34) as lodgers in the home of of Flossa Radabaugh at Middletown, Middletown, Butler, Ohio, United States.^[2]

Her mother died of a heart attack at age 30 when Patricia was about 7 years old. She and her siblings were raised by their father. Since they were often boarders, others likely assisted in their upbringing. Pat attended Lemon-Monroe high school. A senior photo is seen in the 1947 yearbook. Note the source lists the wrong high school, but inspection of teachers and administrators clearly identify the school as Lemon-Monroe High School.^[3]

Patricia married Hershal Borders on 2 Jul 1948 according to family members who created a MyHeritage/Ancestry Family Tree. A source for the marriage date/location was not provided.^[4] Pat & Hershal have two children who are living. Hershal worked at Armco Steel company as an electrician, teaching trade classes for many years of his working career. Pat enjoyed antiques, flower gardening and finding unusual things at yard sales. She was devoted to her faith and her family.

Hershal worked at Armco Steel company as an electrician, teaching trade classes for many years. He passed away (age 93) on 8 Mar 2015 at Butler county, Ohio. He was buried at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Butler county, Ohio.^[5]

Patricia passed away (age 91) on 19 Dec 2019 at Middletown. She was buried beside Hershal at Woodside Cemetery.^[6]
