Biography

Jane Thompson (married name Cochrane) was born on 21 February 1824 in County Donegal, Ireland,^[1] the daughter of Martha (McCay) Thompson and William Thompson.^[2]

She married John Cowan Cochrane in 1849.^[1] Their children were:^[1]

• Matilda Jane Cochrane Barber (1854–1936)
• John Cochrane (1857–1857)
• James Cochrane (1858–1935)

Jane died on 15 April 1887 in Ceres, Victoria.^[1][2]
