Joseph Thompson was born in Stoke Prior Worcestershire in 1842. He was the son of Joseph Thompson and Caroline (Woods) Thompson. He was Christened in 1842 at Stoke Prior, Worcestershire, England. ^[1]

He married Sarah Martha Pugh in Victoria Australia in 1876.^[2]

Joseph passed away in 1935 at Benalla, Victoria. He was 92 years old. ^[3]
