Biography
Rebecca was born in 1786 and is the daughter of John Thompson and Mary Clark. She passed away in 1852 and is buried at Wamsley Cemetery, Fordham, DeKalb County, Missouri, USA.[1]
Rebecca was born about 1783 or 1786. She married Anderson "Lant" Smith in Kentucky in 1801[2], and together they had several children before she passed away in Missouri in 1852.
Research Notes
Rebecca's husband Anderson Smith is by all appearances the same man as Anderson John Smith Jr, making her the same person as Rebecca (Thompson) Smith. The Rebecca in the present profile has sometimes been confused with Rebecca Fraker who married Henry Smith (I go into a little more detail on that issue in the research notes for Henry posted Oct, 2021). As this profile is presently orphaned, I have proceeded with detaching the existing marriage between this Rebecca and Henry, leaving a merge of this Rebecca and her doppleganger as the next appropriate step.

As Thompson-49677 is presently an orphaned profile, and with the erroneous marriage to Henry finally detached, a merge of the two Rebeccas should be the next appropriate step.
Notice we do not presently have sources for Thompson-49677's sons Adam or William, either as sons of Henry Smith or of Rebecca Thompson-6280's correct husband Anderson, Smith-23326, which will leave them effectively orphaned after the merge, awaiting data on their parentage.
