Elsie May Thomas was born in 1893 in Milton, Colony of New South Wales, daughter of Frederick Walter Thomas (1845–1901) and Mary Ree (1848–1928).^[1]

Elsie (27) married Frederick Thomas Mooney (35) (born in 1885 in Wollongong, Colony of New South Wales; son of John Mooney and Ellen Connaughton) in 1921 in Sydney, New South Wales.^[2]

Elsie died on August 15, 1941 in Redfern, New South Wales, Australia, aged 47.^[3] She was buried in Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium, North Ryde, Ryde City, New South Wales.^[4]
