Biography

Fredine (Thomas) Judson is a part of US Black heritage.

Fredine was born in 1925. She is the daughter of L. C. Thomas and Dora Oliver (later Fleming). ^[1] In 1930, "Fredine Fleming" is enumerated on the federal census in the Madison County, Mississippi home of her mother and stepfather. ^[2] In 1940 "Fredine Thomas" is enumerated on the federal census in the Richland Parish, Louisiana household of her maternal aunt Anna Oliver Williams.^[3]

She married Freddie B Judson and separated from him before 1950. The name of her husband comes from her daughter's obituary.^[4]

Fredine passed away in 2003. ^[5]

Research Notes

Fredine at various times used both the name of her father--Thomas, and that of her stepfather--Fleming.
