Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with cousins and anyone else with an interest in genealogy. My family tree is on another website.
I have taken the Y-DNA test at Ancestry Tree DNA and through that test and confirmed by Betty Finger my 5x grandfather is Marchant Thomas, born 1770 North or South Carolina. I know my 3x grandfather is John Thomas born 1820-1825 in Kentucky, I believe Clay County. This leaves me with trying to figure out who the parents of John Thomas are. Looking at the website for Marchant Thomas by Betty Finger we see 11 children, 7 of which are male. None have a child named John. Is his father one of those listed? Is there a male child that hasn't thus far been discovered? Most likely it is one of the 7 male sons of Marchant and Jemima.
